About the Author

Mai Der Vang is a Hmong American poet and writer. She was born in a refugee camp in Thailand and immigrated to the United States with her family when she was three years old. Vang's work has been published in numerous literary journals and anthologies, and she is the recipient of several awards, including the Kundiman Poetry Prize and the Whiting Award. Yellow Rain Poems is her debut collection.
